Parish Nurse Ministry Statement:
By embracing the healing nature of Christian faith, the Capitol Drive Lutheran Church’s Parish Nurse Ministry knits a shawl of fine threads interweaving wellness of the mind, body and spirit for individual members along with their congregation as a whole.
At CDLC, the Parish Nurse Ministry supports and promotes wellness of the body, mind & spirit by:
· serving as a health advocate/advisor during times of wellness, illness and challenging health related issues
· encouraging an individual to walk a spiritual journey with their pastoral care and health care providers.
· serving on the pastoral care staff
· providing physical and spiritual wellness education materials

· referring individuals with personal needs to available community resources
· providing and coordinating volunteer opportunities in Health Ministry
